Formed in 2011 by Self Defense Family's Patrick Kindlon, Drug Church is a New York-based, post-hardcore band that is known for its aggressive sound. With Patrick Kindlon on vocals, Nick Cogan and Cory Galusha on guitar, Pat Wynne on bass, and Chris Villeneuve on drums, Drug Church has released several EPs and a hand-full of full-length albums. While the band's music is known for its sardonic social commentary, all the lyrics are written in the studio by Kindlon only after the music has been recorded. This made-to-order approach to songwriting contributes to the popularity of the band's music and reflects its willingness to explore the darker side of the human experience through creative expression. Drug Church's third album, Cheer was released in 2018 followed by an extensive live tour.
