Producer, emcee and Miami-native Panther God first began experimenting with electronica in his early 20s, when he grew bored with the standard beats and samples hip-hop artists used as a foundation for their rhymes. Instead, the young emcee thought he could make his own beats to rap over, but ended up becoming weary of hip-hop and infatuated with electronic production techniques. While Panther God still includes the occasional rap in his music, it is usually spliced and distorted, melding well with the background of dark dubstep and minimalist electro that he is known for.
