Rapping since the mid-1990s, Canadian emcee Noah23 has steadily built an underground fan base that appreciates his ability to seamlessly switch from high-speed raps to smooth vocals that are layered over a blend of electro-hop and indie rock. While he may not fit the standard mold of a rapper, Noah23 happily embraces his suburban background, rapping about topics that befit a typically awkward adolescence--rather than covering up his middle class background and donning hip-hop's bravado and street swagger, as other hip-hop artists have notoriously done. Noah23 has remained underground, but has established himself in the underground in Canada, the US, the UK and Europe.
