Cosmic Kids is the project of two Los Angeles-based DJs who first met in a high school class meant for students who had trouble focusing on course work. After the two bonded over a shared affection of music, they both decided to take up volunteer work at the well known radio station KCRW in Los Angeles. After mingling with a few musicians and other music connoisseurs at the station, the two decided to start making music together and playing live. The first Cosmic Kids DJ set happened in 2006 and since then the duo has managed to share the stage with notable acts like LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture and Crystal Castles. The DJ team's style is a hybrid of various club genres and by incorporating elements of house, electro and disco, the duo's music is nearly always danceable.
