The Bitter Springs

Formed from the ashes of the British band known as Last Party, The Bitter Springs have existed on the fringes of the UK garage rock scene since the late 1980s. The London-based band crafts raw, beer-soaked pop rock and roll songs centered around jangly electric guitars and rough harmonies. At one point, the six-piece earned enough clout on the local scene to open up for the hugely popular Stone Roses during the group's first London performance. And while The Bitter Springs' star may have dipped a bit out of the spotlight since then, the band has nevertheless remained an important underground fixture in the UK garage circuit.
