Andres Cepeda is one of the Colombian artists of greater recognition at a national level and international level. Born in Bogota in 1973, he began playing the piano at age five and shortly thereafter began composing his own songs. By the 1990s, Cepeda has formed his own rock band called Poligamia, which found a good deal of success throughout Colombia, recording five albums. After the group split, Cepeda moved to the US to study music production, which led to guest work on various other musicians' albums, then his own solo release, an emotive album of Latin pop.
