Maximum the Hormone is a Japanese rock band formed in 1998. The band consists of Daisuke-han on vocals and guitar, Nao on bass and vocals, Ue-chan on guitar and vocals, and Ryo-kun on drums. They are known for their unique blend of punk, metal, and pop music, as well as their energetic live performances. The band has released seven studio albums, two live albums, and several singles. Their debut album, “Kusoban”, was released in 2004 and was followed by “Buiikikaesu” in 2007, which was their first album to reach the top 10 of the Oricon charts. Their most recent album, “Yoshu Fukushu”, was released in 2013 and reached number one on the Oricon charts. Maximum the Hormone has also had several successful singles, including “What’s Up People?”, “F”, and “Koi no Mega Lover”. They have also collaborated with other artists, such as the Japanese rock band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Maximum the Hormone has become one of the most popular and influential rock bands in Japan. Their unique sound and energetic live performances have earned them a loyal fan base and critical acclaim.
