Popular during the 1980s, British synthpop band Blancmange was a pioneering force in the use of electronic sounds alongside pop hooks. Reaching audiences in both England and the United States, Blancmange had respectable a following during the peak of its career. Parting ways in 1987, the band re-united in 2006 for a "best of" collection and subsequent reunion tours. The band has continued to tour into the 21st century, playing hits to fans old and new.
