Fugative's early success caught the attention of BBC Radio One's Nick Grimshaw, who expressed his admiration for the artist. Fugative's debut single, "It's Summertime," achieved significant popularity, reaching number two on the UK Urban Chart and remaining in the top five for 17 consecutive weeks. He followed up with several more singles, including "Jimmy Shoe," "Supafly," and "Crush," the latter of which became his highest-charting single, reaching number 26 on the UK chart.
