Bob Seeley is a highly regarded American boogie woogie pianist. With a musical career spanning over several decades, Seeley has established himself as a fixture at Charlie's Crab in Troy, Michigan, captivating audiences with his piano performances. He has also showcased his talent at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall and has toured extensively throughout Europe. Influenced greatly by Meade Lux Lewis, whom he met in the late 1940s and developed a close friendship with, Seeley's piano style reflects his admiration for Lewis. He has also collaborated with artists such as Art Tatum and accompanied Sippie Wallace. Seeley's repertoire encompasses ragtime, stride, blues, and boogie woogie, displaying his versatility as a pianist. Additionally, he has collaborated with Mark Braun, also known as Mr. B, in the "Cheek to Cheek Boogie" project. Seeley's captivating solos have been praised for their coherence, logical progression, and ability to evoke the spirit of Meade Lux Lewis. While residing with his mother until the age of 55, Seeley has a brother named James Seeley.
