Billy Galewood, better-known as Bushwalla, is an American, R&B and Funk music artist. A native of Cleveland, OH, he began taking part in theater at a very young age. At 19, he moved to New York City to pursue studies at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. It was during this time that he met then-aspiring musician Jason Mraz and ended up becoming his roommate. Together, they eventually moved to California and began performing together. While in California, Galewood continued to work on his sound and eventually developed a quirky combination of acoustic and hip hop. He debuted with One A.M. and followed it up with Sessions and Ghetto Blaster. He has toured across the country extensively and collaborated with artists like Jessie Payo, Aaron Leibowitz and Selah Sue. A typical Bushwalla show incorporates elements of improv comedy and circus tricks with music. Some of his most popular tracks are "Gangsta," "Acoustic Rhymer," "In the Future," "Creatures In the Yard" and "I Raise Up," just to name a few.
