Kimnowak was formed by vocalist Novák Péter, bassist Nagy Gergely and guitarist Pribl György in Budapest in 1994. The band came together out of the underground music scene from the 1980s, where the band members had already begun to collaborate. Its Jimi Hendrix-style rock music is alternative, with a touch of folk. In addition to being one of Hungary's most popular rock bands, Kimnowak has received international acclaim throughout Europe for its melodic music.
