Canadian singer Alessia De Gasperis-Brigante, known professionally as Kai, is known for her work on songs like "Never Be Like You," "Revolution," "Mind" and more. Born and raised in Toronto, she attended Bishop Strachan School whose alumni include actress Laurie Holden. Her debut EP 11:11, released in 2011, had minimal impact on charts due to little promotion. Her collaboration with the dubstep group Adventure Club on "Need You Heart" entered the top 10 of the iTunes Electronic music chart and helped kick-start her career. Post the success of "Need Your Heart" she got the chance to work with high profile artists like Diplo and Childish Gambino on the tracks "Revolution" and "Crawl." This was followed by a collaboration with another major artist - Jessie J, whose track "Sweet Talker" Kai wrote. In 2015, she reunited with Diplo to work on Jack Ü's track "Mind." She continued building on these successes by featuring on Australian electronic producer Flume's song "Never Be Like You," which became an international hit.
