Fathead is a highly acclaimed Canadian blues band, boasting multiple Juno Awards and Maple Blues Awards. Founded by Al Lerman, the group originally included members Mike Fitzpatrick, Ted Leonard, John Mays, and Bob Tunnoch. Formed in the late 1980s, Fathead emerged as a permanent band, taking inspiration from their diverse influences, which spanned from soul and funk to blues and gospel. With John Mays as their lead vocalist, Al Lerman on various instruments, Bob Tunnoch on bass, Ted Leonard on guitar, Bucky Berger on drums, and later Papa John King on guitar, the band became a force in the blues scene, impressing audiences with their heartfelt performances and original compositions.
