Gilbert Gottfried

Loud, intentionally obnoxious and occasionally controversial, Gilbert Gottfried is one of the most recognizable personalities in the stand-up comedy world. Born in Brooklyn in 1955, he began touring the comic circuit throughout New York City in the late 1970s before landing his first big break as a cast member of the 1980 season of Saturday Night Live. Soon, he began to develop a loud, raw and grating inflection in his voice that would come to serve as his notable trademark. This in-your-face delivery, coupled with his often crude and satirical ramblings, has kept Gottfried a comic icon for decades running.
