Hailing from Southampton, UK Joe Brooks is a self-taught singer/songwriter who gained media attention in 2005 after posting songs on his Myspace. After two years at the University of Bath he dropped out to pursue music and self-released his m a y b e t o m o r r o w EP in 2006. With over 11 million song plays in 2008, he was declared Myspace's "Number One Unsigned Artist" in the UK. His broad internet fan-base showed up to support him during international gigs, particularly in California where he has sold out multiple shows. Brooks was finally signed to Lava/Universal Records in 2009, although because his 2010 album Constellation Me, failed to attract commercial success and Brooks was consequently dropped from his label. As an independent artist, he continues to release new material including his 2012 album, The Mixtape.
