John Leguizamo (born Jonathan Alberto Leguizamo) is an actor, producer and stand-up comedian from New York City by way of Bogotá, Colombia who is perhaps best known for starring in a series of highly rated television programs and blockbuster films throughout the 1990s and 2000s. As more or less of a household name in mainstream comedy, Leguizamo's unique brand of improvisational comedy is almost immediately recognizable to comedy lovers throughout the world. In addition his successful career as an actor and a stand-up comedian, John Leguizamo is one of the few comedians to make a successful transition into theater with several successful performances under his belt on and off-Broadway.
