Formed in 2009 on the New Jersey Shore, Night Birds deliver classic fast-paced punk rock with a noticeable surf influence, drawing inspiration from the SoCal style. Vocalist Brian Gorsegner and bassist Joe Keller, formerly of For Science and Psyched to Die, initiated the band after Keller's previous group, the Ergs, disbanded. Joined by guitarist Mike Hunchback and a series of drummers, Night Birds quickly gained attention with a four-song demo reissued by Ride the Fury Records. Their debut EP, "Night Birds," followed, released by Dirtnap Records and Grave Mistake Records. Their first album, "The Other Side of Darkness," dropped in 2011, with subsequent releases including "Born to Die in Suburbia" (2013) and "Mutiny at Muscle Beach" (2015), the latter recorded with drummer Darick Slater. Despite lineup changes, Night Birds continue to deliver high-energy punk with hooks and surf-infused melodies.
