Spiro is an instrumental folk band from Bristol, England. Founded in 1993, the group emerged from casual pick-up, open mic sessions around Bristol. After gigging around for a few years, honing its sound and refining its songwriting approach, the group would release its debut album, Pole Star, in 1997. Continuing to release well-received LPs and tour, Spyro is regarded as one of the more reliable English folk acts of its generation.
