Strunz & Farah is an acoustic guitar duo that creates a fusion of Latin music and flamenco. Costa Rica born artist Jorge Strunz and Iranian artist Ardeshir Farah teamed up while living in the US in 1979 and quickly released their debut album Mosaico, as Strunz & Farah in 1980 under their own imprint, Selva Records. The album earned the band the attention of jazz label Milestone, who signed the group and released its follow-up 1984 record, Frontera. Strunz & Farah steadily rose to national acclaim, particularly after the 1992 Grammy-nominated record Americas, and continues to record and release new material.
