The Duhks

The Duhks is a folk band from Canada that combines elements of soul, gospel, samba, Irish dance music and old-time country to create a rootsy sound it describe as worldbeat. The band released its debut album, Your Daughters & Your Sons, in 2003, and while its traditional flavors never garnered commercial success, the record earned The Duhks critical acclaim as well as a contract with Sugar Hill Records. The Duhks continues to collect a dedicated audience with its contemporary folk records, including Fast Paced World, which was released in 2008.
