Angelo Branduardi is a composer and folk singer who received formal training as a classical violinist in Genoa, Italy. At the young age of 18, he wrote music for the famous Russian poet Sergei Yesenin’s work Hooligan’s Confession. The first album he made was never formally released, but his subsequent self-titled "official" debut album came out in 1974.
