Ska band Locomondo is perhaps one of the most popular bands to have graced the music scene of Greece. The seven-piece outfit, comprising Markos Koumaris, Yiannis Varnavas, Stamatis Goulas, Spyros Mpesdekis, Stratos Sountris, Mike Mourtzis and Thanasis Tampakis, has made a niche for itself with its blend of ska and traditional Greek music. The band debuted in 2004 with the album Enas Trelos Kosmos and has since released several more albums including Me Wanna Dance, Locomondo Live, Locomondo Best Of and New Day Rising. Over the years, the collective has shared the stage with big names like Patti Smith, Chumbawamba, Thievery Corporation and Ojos de Brujo, to name a few.
