Joe Firstman is a singer/songwriter and musician from Charlotte, North Carolina who owns an adult contemporary, soft rock sound. Born Joseph Fuerstman, he formed his first band in 1988 and used the project to hone his songwriting and performing skills before heading for Hollywood in 2000. After paying his dues on the nightclub circuit, he signed with Atlantic Records in 2003, releasing his debut album The War of Women and supporting the record by touring with acts like Jewel, Willie Nelson and Jason Mraz. Though he never earned commercial success with the major label, Firstman continues to release records through his own imprint, 1stman Music.
