The Commercial Hippies is a popular psytrance outfit based out of Cape Town, South Africa. Comprised of DJs Anton Raubenheimer and Gareth Tacon, the duo first began performing together while spinning breakbeat tracks at parties. Soon, they decided to form a partnership that would focus more on original production, specifically in the psychedelic trance vein. Together as the Commercial Hippies, Raubenheimer and Tacon's sturdy trance pulses are relentless, only letting up to occasionally give way to spacey interludes or swirling, synth-driven psychedelic breaks. The duo's second album, From Beyond, was released in 2009.
