Dead Messenger is a power pop/rock band from Montreal, Canada that has been slowly, but surely edging its way up Canada's music charts with the goal of ultimately making it big on the power pop scene. Since forming in 2005, Dead Messenger has had an on again, off again relationship with performing--deciding on taking a hiatus in 2007 about a year following the release of its eponymous debut album to middling critical acclaim. However, where taking time off usually leaves the band weaker when its members reunite, for Dead Messenger, this is not the case. After getting back together in early 2008, Dead Messenger hit the ground running with the release of its far more acclaimed album Love is the Only Weapon, and subsequent performances at several pop music festivals throughout Canada.
