Evelyn is a four-piece folk rock band from Ontario, Canada. Aiming to combine the timeless Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Neil Young songs that its members grew up on with the harder-edged indie rock style of a group like The Replacements, the band has developed a reputation in the Toronto music scene as tasteful re-interpreters of the 1970s folk rock sound. Evelyn released its debut album, Ten Car Stereo, to some positive press and regular plays on college radio stations throughout Canada. Since then, the group has toured regularly and added touches of chugging power pop into its repertoire of Americana-infused indie rock.
