Grounders

Formed in 2010 by a group of Toronto-based friends, Grounders has a penchant for delicately sweet indie pop based around organic instrumentation, but with the occasional flourish of sugary synth. The five-piece does branch into instrumental psych-rock territory, full of driving guitars, every so often to break up its thick syrup of sweet pop ditties, and therefore has no difficulty keeping the listener's interest. While Grounders is still a newer band to hit Toronto's indie music scene, it is quickly rising the ranks and has been booked to play at many of the country's prominent festivals.
