Led by Ryan Malcolm, the winner of the first season of Canadian Idol, Low Level Flight is an alternative rock band from Toronto that has scored a number of chart-topping singles and music videos in its native country. The five-piece band creates agreeable rock songs driven by emotive choruses and big, radio-friendly hooks. The success of its debut album, Urgency, and the singles it yielded, helped Low Level Flight become a household name amongst purveyors of popular alt-rock groups in Canada. The band continues to enjoy increasing success and is starting to perform at high-profile shows, including opening for Interpol.
