With a focus on sex appeal and an emphasis on the fact that they're an all-girl band, the members of Toronto-via-Guelph trio Rouge have no qualms with employing their femininity to capture attention. While seducing the audience, the group plays dance-based electropop with nods to Peaches and Kylie Minogue. The group utilizes two synth keyboardists and one drummer, topped off with three-part harmonies, in an attempt to recreate the dance floors of the 1980s. Since forming in 2007, Rouge has released a few singles and played venues throughout Canada.
