The Zombie Kids is a production/DJ duo that benefits from the disparate tastes and backgrounds of its two core members. While the Barcelona-raised Edgar Candel Kerri was growing up on a diet of rock and punk, Cumhur Jay was in Turkey, dabbling in hip-hop and house production. Now, with established roots in Madrid, the duo has emerged as one of the city's more popular electro teams. The feel of the hard-hitting, beefy synths and drum patterns that comprise the Zombie Kids' tracks can definitely be traced back to Kerri's rock background, while the sleek, funk chic elements that have earned the group comparisons to MGMT and Justice come straight from Jay's expertise. The two run their own dance club in Madrid, called Zombie Club, where it packs 1,500 people in every Wednesday night.
