Nicki Bluhm was discovered when she happened to sing an impromptu blues cover at a party and was noticed by Tim Bluhm of The Mother Hips; he would eventually go on to become her husband, producer and band-mate. The San Francisco-based songstress soon began recording her debut album with Tim Bluhm, recruiting more members for her backing band, which became known as the Gramblers. Melding Memphis soul with classic country and her powerful, smoky voice, Nicki Bluhm has won over audiences across the country with each new album. She has since parted ways with both her husband and band, forging ahead with a career as a solo artist.
