Telefly is a blues/psychedelic rock band from Seoul that stands as one of the few recognized South Korean bands currently performing in the genre. The band's name is a synthesis of the words "television" and "butterfly," which some how comes to represent a band that "flies around" all forms of media. Since releasing its debut full-length album Ultimate Psychedelic in 2011, word has spread about Telefly's talent on top of its already proven success as a live band. Known by the hip denizens of Seoul's famed Hongdae district as a band that brings one of the area's best rock experiences, Telefly is not only introducing the locals to a form of music that never really had a proponent in South Korea, but has also become one of the more popular indie bands on the scene today.
