Blind Willies began as a musical duo of two friends in high school at the San Francisco School of Arts. The two teens originally performed covers of their favorite American folk covers and were lucky enough to make their debut at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass a free concert in Golden Gate Park. After the duo put out their second album their size more than doubled ad they added three new yet experienced musicians to the groupd making Blind Wilies a full on instrumental ensemble. They draw on Russian folk styles mixed in with their rock roots to create a unique sound.
