From a young age, Romanian singer Alexandra Stan dreamed of becoming a star. As a child she entered several talent contests in Romania and won many. Her dreams began to become a reality when her first single, "Lollipop" released in 2009 hit the top of the charts in Romania. Her second single "Mr. Saxobeat" was an even greater hit and gained international notoriety which sparked a European tour. Stan is an emerging artist with a fun pop sound that has received a lot of attention and play at nightclubs. Her songs are upbeat and reminiscent of 90's bubblegum pop with an electronic twist.
