Giant Sand

Giant Sand is an alternative rock band from Tuscon, Arizona that was founded in 1985. The group's name was originally Giant Sandworms, a reference to the monsters from the sci-fi Dune book series. The group released its debut album, Ballad of a Thin Line Man, in 1986 and has since managed to maintain a prolific LP output.
