The Living End is a band from Melbourne, Australia that's known for blending rockabilly styled influences into the fray of a straight forward punk sound. Formed in 1994, the group would go on to tour its native Australia for several years before entering into the studio to record its self-titled 1998 debut album. Though The Living End has never achieved mainstream crossover appeal or even widespread recognition in North America or Europe, in Australia it is considered one of the more talented rockabilly acts of its generation. Having released a number of well received studio albums over the course of its existence, that have helped solidify The Living End's musical standing in the rockabilly scene, the band has truly built a name for itself with its busy touring schedule and its engaging live shows.
