I Am Oak

I Am Oak is the indie folk songwriting project of Dutch musician, Thijs Kuijken. On his self-released singles and albums, he creates beautifully arranged slices of delicate homespun folk that uses a varied sonic palette. Guitars, banjos, organs, and even some electronic flourishes all work together to form Kuijken's unique musical identity as I Am Oak. His project has begun to transcend the bedroom folk/pop mold within which its been created as of late, as evidenced by his upcoming appearance at Austin, Texas's South By Southwest music showcase.
