When a band comprised of unpretentious musicians comes along and cranks out songs that are self-disclosing and slightly unrefined, it gives listeners a more profound respect for the power of music. Art vs. Science is one of these groups. The Australian trio's electronic sound is driven forward by thundering distorted bass and live drums. While the group's forward-thinking dance-punk sound isn't as refined as some might expect, it's certainly interesting and worthy of some sort of recognition. The trio released its debut LP, The Experiment, in 2011, although the band had been somewhat of an underground sensation in its home country for years leading up to the album's release.
