Larry Keel is a bluegrass singer/songwriter and musician who was born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where he was immersed in the traditions of mountain music. Growing up in a musical family, Keel mastered the guitar as well as the sounds of traditional American acoustic music at a young age before venturing out into his own sound. Along with various outfits such as Larry Keel Experience, Keller and The Keels and Keel Brothers, which also featured his older brother Gary, he has been releasing a steady stream of music inspired by traditional Appalachian folk and infused with overtones of modern bluegrass.
