Emre Altuğ

Turkish pop singer and actor Niyazi Emre Altuğ began his career as a backup singer for popular musicians in his native country. By 1999, he had released a solo album and by 2000, the young singer had become a national icon. Emre Altuğ released the hit single, Sensiz Olmuyor in 2004, which then became the theme song and title of a popular television series, with Altuğ in the leading role. Recently US producers, noted for working with Jennifer Lopez, have approached Altuğ and his US album with lyrics in English is in the works.
