Based in Denver, Colorado, Clinging To The Trees of a Forest Fire is a heavy metal band that was founded in 2006. The band's first EP Harmonies From Bleeding Mouths set the template for its abrasive grindcore sound. After the release of its 2008 debut album Omega Drunk on the Blood of Alpha, Clinging To The Trees of a Forest Fire began reaching audiences outside of its home state with its cold negativity and non-melodic screams. The band embarked on a national tour in 2011 for the release of its Visceral EP, sharing the stage with other up-and-coming death metal acts such as Reproacher and Transient.
