Truckstop Honeymoon

Two musicians--one a washtub bass player, another a banjoist--fell in love in New Orleans and decided to form a band. Making a characteristic style of high-octane Americana music, the duo has managed to attract a lot of fans with its unique sound. After getting married and spending a good deal of time on the road, in 2006 Hurricane Katrina hit Truckstop Honeymoon's hometown in Louisiana and the group decided to stay on tour nearly indefinitely. As much as the duo would like to stay on the road, playing to enraptured audiences with no end in sight, arrangements for permanent housing were made and Truckstop Honeymoon is now based out of Lawrence, Kansas, where its known for playing a startling amount of shows in venues around the city.
