Merz

Combining folk, pop and electronic influences, Conrad Lambert (aka Merz) creates a unique and seamless hybrid singer/songwriter pop style. The Dorset, England-based musician debuted in 1998 with his CC Conscious EP, which was followed just a year later with an eponymously-titled full-length on Epic Records. Lambert scored a couple of minor hits on UK radio that helped pave the way for collaborations with some influential electronic musicians, such as Paul Hartnoll of Orbital. His ability to work within the confines of folk-y pop, while experimenting with lush electronic textures, layered harmonies and interesting production work have made him both popular and respected within the UK music scene.
