John and Edward Grimes, who perform and release music together under their Jedward guise, are identical twins and singers who rose to fame in 2009, competing in the sixth season of the British reality TV program The X Factor. Though Jedward lost the competition, coming in sixth place, it nevertheless managed to introduce throngs of viewers to the quirky and unique Jedward pop style. Releasing its debut LP, Planet Jedward, in 2010, the duo has managed to find a fairly strong listener base in its native England that is always eager to hear Jedward's distinctive music.
