The middle class is a interesting category of people to name a band after. The upper class has the panache, sophistication and money that goes along with the upper echelon of society. The lower class has a prideful working class mentality that is slightly depressing, yet wholly respectable in its own right. What does the middle class have? Nothing really. It's one of the reasons why Middle Class Rut named itself such. The members of the band knew that everyone in the middle class is slightly placid as well as indecisive and by naming their band Middle Class Rut they must have know that they weren't going to offend anyone. The group formed in 2006 in Sacramento, and by playing hard lined post hardcore music with an aire of musical prowess, the group has managed to be toted as an innovative group that has an eager fan base that will happily lap up whatever sonic discharge Middle Class Rut spews out.
