Mark Morriss is a singer/songwriter from England who rose to fame during the 1990s as the front-man of the Britpop outfit, The Bluetones. After the forming the band in 1993 and earning critical and commercial acclaim for its 1996 debut album, Expecting to Fly, he became one of the UK's most recognizable indie rock artists. As The Bluetones continued to evolve after the Britpop movement, becoming one of the few bands to survive it, Morris also branched out to find his own sound. Though he released his first solo record, a 2006 EP, under the name Fi-Lo Beddow, he eventually released his debut album, Memory Muscle, in 2008 under his real name.
