Exactly as the name states, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, commonly abbreviated by fans to Skapara, is a Japanese 9-piece orchestra creating ska music. Formed in '88, with a sound inflected with jazzy flavor and tinges of surf rock, the band emerged onto the Japanese music scene as something entirely unique. Quickly signing to Epic records, the band has toured extensively and released over 16 studio albums.
