Atoms For Peace is a supergroup comprised of Radiohead vocalist Thom York, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, noted producer Nigel Godrich as well as drummer Joey Waronker and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco. Playing its first show at Los Angeles venue the Echoplex in 2009, where the band performed York's LP The Eraser in its entirety, the band typically performs rare, sporadic shows--partly due to the busy schedules of all the group's members. Atoms For Peace released its debut LP, AMOK, in 2013 and the album managed to encapsulate the band's aesthetic sensibilities quite well within many of the rhythmically and tonally refined songs.
