Award-winning playwright Nina Raine presents her second full-length play. Tribes is an exploration of family and the individual quest in the outside world. The play centers around an eccentric family with a deaf son, Billy, who has the feeling that he is one of the only ones really listening. After meeting a girl, Billy's perspective changes, pushing him to assert himself in his family. This subtle, powerful and multifaceted piece of writing shows that Raine is one of the most promising emergent voices in the London theater.
